As I've mentioned in previous entries, it's hard for me to accept help. I'm used to doing things by myself. Writing is definitely a direct contributor of that. It's a lonely man's sport. However, when I do get help from others, I find a way to let them know how much I appreciate it, even if it's just saying a mere, "Thank You." You owe it to the others around you to acknowledge their helpful presence in your life. What drives me crazy is when people do the exact opposite: Get massive amounts of help then take all the credit for it. In the end, you isolate yourself as the people in your corner start to see you for who you really are. Even though it's my sole responsibility to put those words on the page, I've been helped and inspired by so many around me. I've said it already, but it bears repeating: Thank you.
